Keiko ("the Service") respects your privacy. This policy describes what information the Service collects, why, and how it is handled.

1. Information we collect

  • Sign-in information. If you sign in with a Google account, we receive your name, email address, and profile image from Google.
  • Practice records. Your nickname and typing records (scores, speed, accuracy, play counts), stored so you can track your progress.
  • Device and access information. Cookies, browser type, access times, referrer URLs, and IP addresses.
  • Local settings.Display preferences (such as romaji and furigana visibility) are stored in your browser's local storage and are not sent to our servers.

2. How we use it

  • To provide the Service, authenticate you, and save and display your records.
  • To improve features, prevent abuse, and maintain quality.
  • To analyze access patterns and understand aggregate usage.
  • To serve and optimize advertising.

3. Analytics

The Service may use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. Google Analytics collects information via cookies. See Google's privacy policy for details on how that data is processed.

4. Advertising

The Service may display ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google's ads settings.

5. Payments

Purchases of Keiko PRO are processed by Lemon Squeezy, LLC as merchant of record. Your payment details (such as card numbers) are submitted directly to Lemon Squeezy and never reach our servers. We receive only the information needed to activate your plan, such as your account identifier and purchase status. See Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy for details on their processing.

6. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties except as described above (analytics and advertising providers), or where required by law.

7. Data deletion

If you would like your account data deleted, contact us and we will remove your sign-in information and practice records.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
